Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan (AITC SK) is an educational charity dedicated to Connecting Kids with Agriculture through innovative, curriculum-based programs and resources. They assist Saskatchewan learners in the K-12 system to increase their awareness and understanding of the complexities and importance of agriculture through partnerships with educators, agribusiness and agriculture organizations. AITC SK is the trademark owner and manager of Little Green Thumbs as well as the host organization in their home province.
In early 2007, AITC SK partnered with the First Nations Agricultural Council of Saskatchewan to establish the Little Green Thumbs program in four Saskatchewan schools. In 2014, 72 schools and more than 2,200 students were directly engaged in Little Green Thumbs in Saskatchewan.
