Nutrien has provided funding to collect "best practices" for Little Green Thumbs and develop a model to help this amazing program grow across Canada and the United States.
"Little Green Thumbs is an excellent hands-on education program. We recognize its value to both students and teachers as a valuable teaching tool, but as well, we share the same vision for expanding it into all parts of Canada and eventually into the United States," Doug Beever, Senior Director Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations for Agrium.
Your contribution to the Little Green Thumbs program does more than buy soil and seeds. It unlocks the mystery of food production for children across Canada. As students actively co-operate to care for their garden, they learn about nutrition, environmental stewardship, sustainable food systems and community interdependence.
Your contribution will help open a garden of learning possibilities for a child.
