Training, support & resources
We have been training teachers how to be successful on the Little Green Thumbs program for over seven years. Here's how we'll help you get started:

Workshops
You'll receive a hands-on workshop, delivered by an authorized Little Green Thumbs Coordinator in your area, to prepare you for the program.

Support
Our Authorized Coordinators provide year round program support and classroom visits.

Resources
You'll receive a Little Green Thumbs Teacher's Manual that includes basic program information, instructions on garden kit set-up and safety, growing information, garden-based lessons and acitivities, and a vermi-composting guide. As well, you will receive a USB drive with videos that give step-by-step guidance on setting up your garden. Other resources include seeds, posters, brochures and access to our growing social media community where ideas and experiences are shared and celebrated!

Garden-in-a-box
We provide a complete indoor garden kit and grow light - just unpack, assemble, and you're ready to grow!

Student journals
Each of your students will receive a journal to track your garden's progress.

Little Green Thumbs Community
As a Little Green Thumbs teacher, you have access to the Little Green Thumbs community of teachers to share ideas. Our growing social media community shares and celebrates ideas and experiences, and you'll collaborate with colleagues from across Canada on maximizing the learning potential in your classroom and engaging the school and surrounding community!
